Install Civora on your server
Click "Add to Discord" → pick a server → grant the listed permissions → done. Civora starts in observe-only mode for the first 30 minutes so you can review what it would flag before it acts.

Getting started
Pick a moderation template
We ship five templates — Strict, Balanced, Relaxed, Gaming, and Community. Each is a starting point you can tune from the dashboard. Most servers stick with Balanced.
Onboard your mod team
Invite mods from Dashboard → Settings → Team. Mods get access to the review queue and audit log but not billing.
How moderation works
The pre-filter
Bot messages, system events, and obvious noise (single emojis, link-only messages from trusted roles) skip the AI pipeline entirely. They don’t count toward your monthly cap.
Context windows
Civora looks at the surrounding 5 messages and the author’s recent history (last 24h) before scoring. That’s how it tells a heated debate from a targeted attack.
Severity tuning
Pro and Business plans can adjust per-category severity (slurs, harassment, NSFW, scams, spam). Free plans use template defaults.
Override learning
When mods override a Civora decision, the system records it and adjusts future scoring for similar messages on your server. Pro tier and up.

Messages Civora wasn’t fully sure about. Approving or rejecting here trains override learning.
Audit log
Every action Civora took, with the message, the mod (or bot) that acted, and the reason. Retention: 7d on Free, 30d on Pro, 90d on Business.

Volume processed, % flagged, top categories, language breakdown. Updated near-real-time.
Billing & limits
What counts as a message
Anything Civora actually processes. Pre-filtered messages don’t count. See the Pricing FAQ for the typical 65–75% ratio.
What happens at the cap
Civora pauses moderation until reset. Free resets daily at midnight UTC and monthly on the 1st. Pro and Business reset monthly on the 1st.
Switching plans
Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle. All from Dashboard → Billing.
